Oxford Instruments have designed hardware for the INCA platform which combines excellence in both detector and pulse processor performance. Hardware designed specifically to give the high quality and stable output required for accurate automatic peak identification and standardless quantitative analysis over a range of count rates. Oxford Instruments' EDS detectors, the INCAx-stream digital pulse processor and the INCAEnergy EDS software combine to make INCA a complete system that works accurately and productively.



X-Max Large Area Analytical SDD

The new X-Max Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) offers users over 10x the solid angle of conventional EDS detectors without compromising on performance.   Now you can have count rate, imaging, and analytical performance all at the same time. 
 
The X-Max SDD comes in 3 different active area sizes:  20mm², 50mm² and 80mm².  All have identical analytical performance.

INCA X-Act

INCAx-act LN2-free Analytical Silicon Drift Detector with PentaFET® Precision has the speed of an SDD with the convenience of a liquid nitrogen free system combined with the INCA software and x-stream pulse processor to yield a highly sophisticated analytical tool for EDS analysis.
